ClanTrack

Terms of Use

Last updated 4 October 2026

By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are written to be read rather than skipped, and the first section is the one that matters.

ClanTrack is not a rescue service

We do not contact emergency services, and nobody is watching your clan for you. When a phone goes quiet or a battery runs low, we tell the other members of the clan. That is all that happens.

If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number yourself. Do not wait for an alert, and do not assume anyone has been sent.

It will sometimes fail

ClanTrack depends on things outside our control, and any of them can stop it working exactly when it matters:

Treat it as one way of keeping in touch, never the only one.

Consent comes first

Your account

Paying

The app is free. If a paid service is offered later (for example on the website), it will be described here before anyone is charged.

Your data stays yours

You can pause sharing, leave a clan or delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy.

Liability

ClanTrack is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from using it or relying on it — including a position that was wrong or out of date, or an alert that did not arrive or arrived late.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending it

You can stop using ClanTrack and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or endangers others, and we will say why.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
